StoryAncelotti expects Cristiano Ronaldo stay

New Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti expects Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to remain at the club despite reports linking him with a move away from the club for the past few months.

And the new manager also believes that the Portugal international captain will commit his future to the club by signing a new deal that will see his wages skyrocket and tie him to the club beyond his present contract period of 2015.

The former Manchester United winger has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu with the player being talked of a summer return to his former hunting ground in Manchester and with cash rich Paris Saint Germain also talking about their interest in the forward. But Ronaldo, who still has two years on his current deal, was quickly praised by the Italian when asked about his star man at a press conference.

The former AC Milan manager stated that everyone knows that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players of his generation and any club in the world would love to have him in their books and Real Madrid are extremely fortunate to boast of such a precocious talent in their books. Ancelotti also stated that he is not involved in the negotiation of his contract but he is sure that it won’t be a problem because Ronaldo is extremely professional.

Real Madrid have been continuously linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur player Gareth Bale and many believe they are preparing for life without Cristiano Ronaldo by going all out for the Welsh flyer but the recent comments by their newly appointed manager dispels some of the rumors about their star man and also pours cold water over Manchester United’s hopes of signing the player they sold to Real for a whopping fee.
