StoryFabio Santini suggests Cristiano Ronaldo could move to PSG

Italian journalist Fabio Santini has said that Cristiano Ronaldo is seriously considering his future at Juventus and could pursue a fresh challenge ahead of next season. The Portugal international left Real Madrid for the Bianconeri during the summer of 2018 and he has since won the Serie A title with the Turin giants.

Despite this, there has been a sense of disappointment with the club’s failure to win the Italian Cup and Italian Super Cup and it appears that Ronaldo may part ways with the Bianconeri this summer. Speakin to 7 Gold, Santini told: “We can say with absolute certainty that the rumours from Spain about Ronaldo are very realistic. CR7 is seriously thinking of saying goodbye to Juventus and he would have already decided the new team: it would be PSG. He would be part of a stellar attack with Mbappe and would likely take Neymar's place in the French capital.”

Ronaldo obviously has the ambition of winning the Champions League with a third European outfit but Juventus don’t seem prepared enough to challenge this term. Prior to the competition’s suspension because of the COVID-19 threat, the Bianconeri suffered a 1-0 defeat to Lyon in the first leg of the round of 16 and it remains to be seen whether they can overturn the deficit during the second leg to be played at the Allianz stadium after the delay.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are seriously looking at the prospect of re-signing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain and that could contribute to Ronaldo making the switch to Parc des Princes. Obviously, the French Ligue 1 does not possess the same competition when compared to the Serie A or La Liga but Ronaldo would get the chance to partner French sensation Kylian Mbappe, who has been tipped to win the Ballon d’Or in the future.
