All signs are pointing towards Sami Khedira making a January exit from Real Madrid and joining Arsenal as rumors are linking the German midfielder with the squad of Arsene Wenger. Sami Khedira is not a constant starter for Carlo Ancelotti at the Santiago Bernabeu as the Italian coach prefers utilizing other players instead of Khedira at the heart of the midfield.

Some seasons ago when Khedira was a consistent starter, he was mostly used as a defensive midfielder but with the arrival of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos, Ancelotti has had to make a series of tactical changes which has left some players out of the squad entirely and this is the case of Xabi Alonso as he was sold to Bayern Munich a few weeks due to the arrival of these new signings and now Khedira is very likely going to be the next one to leave the Spanish club.

Arsenal has had concrete interest in signing Khedira for some time now and with the German midfielder not finding a solid place in the starting lineup of Ancelotti, he could very well be looking to join a club where his chances of playing are guaranteed.

This is nothing more than rumors at this point so far as nothing official has been released with Khedira, Arsenal or Real Madrid releasing any statements but this is a transfer that can benefit all the parties involved.

It benefits Khedira as he can get a club where he can play consistently, Real Madrid could cut down their wage bills as well as receive a cash injection and Arsenal could sign a veteran player that has already proved his worth in some of the biggest stages in the world.

The next few months will be a deciding factor on whether or not Khedira does make a move to the Emirates Stadium.
