StoryRONALDO MISSES MATCH

Real Madrid’s resounding 5-0 victory against Almeria some weeks ago came with a bittersweet taste for the side of Carlo Ancelotti as they sealed all 3 points in a very convincing match but at the same time they saw C.Ronaldo being taken off the pitch after picking up an injury.

The team still managed to cope without their star player as they came out on top against Galatasaray in the Champion League and defeated Valladolid with a comfortable scoreboard of 4-0. Gareth Bale scored his 1st hat-trick with the Spanish club.

The injury of C.Ronaldo coincided with Lionel Messi’s as he is also suffering from an injury that will keep him out of the pitch for the rest of the year although however things are swinging by better for Real Madrid as they have claimed victories even without having their star player at the disposal and the same cannot be said for Barcelona as they lost against Athletic Bilbao and against Ajax.

C.Ronaldo missed out from 2 matches of Real Madrid but the Portuguese winger told the Spanish media that he is fit and ready to play for his team.

"I'm injury-free,” he said after collecting Marca’s award for the best player in La Liga last season, according to the Spanish sports daily. “I'm fine now and I have been for a couple of days. I missed the last match because I didn't want to rush it, but I'll be back next game.”

The 28 years old attacker of Real Madrid is leading the charge for the Ballon d’Or and European Golden Shoe award after his outstanding performances in this season not only with Real Madrid but also for his national team Portugal as he pushed the squad into the last 16 teams remaining for the 2014 World Cup.
