Manchester United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo reached the milestone of 800 goals after he scored twice to lead the Red Devils to a 3-2 win over Arsenal in their latest Premier Leaguematchup. Ronaldo scored twice in the second half as Manchester United secured a comeback win over the Gunners.

In-form Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe scored the first goal of the game on 13 minutes. The goal was controversially awarded as Manchester United players protested the foul on their goalkeeper, David De Gea. However, replays showed that the foul was from his own player, Fred.
Manchester United were able to recover from the setback of conceding the first goal of the game with Bruno Fernandes pulling the strings in midfield. The Portugal international playmaker scored the equaliser for the Red Devils towards the end of the first half off the assist from the lively Fred as the two teams went into the break on level terms.

Cristiano Ronaldo shot Manchester United into the lead for the first time in the gameoff the assist from England international Marcus Rashford. It was a landmark goal for Ronaldo as he scored his 800th goal as a professional football player. The first of his two goals against Arsenal took his league tally to five goals and overall tally to eleven (11) goals. Arsenal responded well to going behind in the match for the first timeas they scored the equaliser through Martin Odegaard two minutes after the first Cristiano Ronaldo goal.

Ronaldo then settled the game in favour of his team as he scored the third Manchester United goal from the penalty spot. The Portugal national team skipper Ronaldo scored the winning goal of the game after Fred was fouled in the box by Odegaard. The penalty gave Manchester United the win as they closed the gap on the top four places on the Premier League log.
