Former Inter Milan and Juventus striker Christian Vieri is certain that Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Juventus this summer despite the fact that the Portuguese national team talisman still has one year remaining on his present deal with the Old Lady.
Vieri talked about Ronaldo while having his say on the mammoth clash in the Italian Serie A between Juventus and Inter Milan this weekend. The ex-Italian international striker played for the two clubs during a successful football career. According to him as quoted by Goal, Cristiano Ronaldo won't stay at Juventus beyond this summer if they don't qualify for the Champions League.
Vieri said that Juventus won't make it to the Champions League in the new season as he expects them to lose to newly crowned champions Inter Milan at home in their Italian derby clash later this weekend. He went on to say that there would be consequences if Juventus don't make it to the Champions League in the new season and that Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the club would be one of those consequences.
The former Italian national team player also said that other players would follow Juventus out of the club if they don't qualify for Champions League football and that the Old Lady would be in a financial crisis prompting a mass exodus of players at the club.
Juventus are in serious trouble ahead of the final two sets of games in the league. They have to win those two games if they want to make up the point deficit between them and the leading pack for Champions League football. Juventus are in a fight for a Champions League spot with Atalanta in second place, third-placed AC Milan and Napoli in fourth place. The Old Lady trail both Milan and Atalanta by three points, while Napoli have one more point than the Turin giants.
